Tata Motors Training Division Wins "Golden Peacock National Training Award 2004"

The HR-Training Division of Tata Motors, India's leading automobile manufacturer has bagged the prestigious and internationally recognized "Golden Peacock National Training Award" in the category of 'Large Employer'.

On behalf of the Company, Mr B G Ogale, Sr Manager (Training & Safety) received the award from Mr Kapil Sibal, the Hon'ble Minister for Science & Technology in the presence of Mr A M Ahmadi, Former Chief Justice of India, dignitaries and senior executives of the industrial community at a function held at the India International Centre, Delhi .

The Golden Peacock Award has been instituted by the 'Institute of Directors'. IOD has been helping to transform organizations by emphasizing the role of the 5Ts-total quality, transparency, trust, truthfulness and training. The Golden Peacock Award has meticulously defined, transparent selection criteria and an independent jury for selecting companies on merit. States Mr P P Kadle, "The Golden Peacock Award is a recognition of some of the initiatives we are taking in the area of training at Tata Motors. Our endeavour is not only to train our own workforce, but also extend it to our business partners like vendors and suppliers".
